Well, At Least He Can Enjoy the Retirement in Crawford

First, my heart gets broken over Jenna Bush's weekend wedding- the flood I'm in is almost up to my head (yeah, it's that bad, folks...lol!).

Now, that flood's about to get a lot higher, but I'm not sad. Click on the title, where you'll be directed to the website Citizen Sugar. Watch the video, and tell me- in the comments box whether our intrepid Commander in Chief has a future in country music. Oh, types like Alan Jackson and George Strait may agree (those traditionalist country music types all think alike, don't they?), but I'm not sure the rest of us do.

OBAMA'S JUST ABOUT THERE: Looks like talk show host Rush Limbaugh's wet dream of Hillary Clinton winning the Democratic presidential nomination may remain just that- a dream. The freshman US senator from Illinois is 132 delegates away from clinching the presumptive nomination. The remaining states who have primaries:
Kentucky, with 51 delegates; and Oregon, with 52. Both hold their primaries next Tuesday. Right now, Obama leads in the Portland Tribune/KPTV Fox 12 poll by a 20 point margin (55-35, with 20% undecided). Word has it that Obama will declare victory in Oregon, that he has the majority number of candidates to become the nominee.

Puerto Rico has its' Democratic primary on June 1, they have 55 delegates. Two days later, South Dakota has theirs, as will Montana. I'm aware that the Republicans hold their Idaho primary on May 27, and their New Mexico on June 3, but with Arizona senator John McCain being the presumptive nominee, at this point, it's no longer a big deal.

But Hillary Clinton's win in West Virginia last night- by a 67-26 margin- may have dented things a bit for Obama. It seems that Obama can't connect with some rural voters, and according to CNN, some Clinton supporters may jump ship over to the McCain camp. But if Obama can win Oregon, Kentucky, and even Puerto Rico, then he will indeed be the likely nominee for the Democrats. But, if Hillary wins any of the states- say, Kentucky and Montana- this drama may extend into the national convention at the Pepsi Center in Denver in August.

Rush Limbaugh's strangely erotic dream may go on a bit longer, indeed.

    IT'S JUST A T-SHIRT, Y'ALL!
A Marietta, Georgia bar owner created a t-shirt, with a Curious George-like monkey eating a banana. On the bottom: 'Obama in '08'.

Not surprisingly, not many are amused.

The owner says that he means no racism in this tee. But you have to remember one thing, kids, you connect a monkey- be it a real one or a cartoon one- to a black person, famous or no, to them that's more like cruisin' for a bruisin'. So, this owner may not like what others have to say about him, let along his character.
