According to a new study, the idea that being bisexual being a lifestyle choice- particularly if you're a female- could be shattered (of course, try telling that to Dobson, Robertson, and the evangelical-political crime family).
In 1995, at the University of Utah, Lisa Diamond, associate professpor of psychology and gender studies interviewed 79 women between ages 18-25, who identified themselves as 'lesbian', 'bisexual', or 'unlabeled'. (the fact that this took place in one of the country's most conservative states, and where a controversial religion has a stranglehold on it is- in and of oitself- unique). Over a ten-year period,, Diamond kept in touch with these women, anmd found that in most of these women, bisexuality is a natural state. The findings will be published next week in the January issue of the American Psychological Association's journal
Developmental Psychology.
