Breaking News: Michael Jackson Taken To Hospital

From the Associated Press: Entertainer Michael Jackson, 50, has been taken to the hospital, suffering from an apparent heart attack. According to differenrt sources, such as TMZ and E! Entertainment Television, Jackson was taken to Ronald reagan UCLA Medical center just after 1:00 PM this afternoon. Conditions as of press toime are still unfolding, so conditions will likely change as we learn more.

More details will be revealed as conditions warrant.

Ed McMahon Dies at 86

The man known as the late Johnny Carson's sidekick on NBC's "The Tonight show with Johnny Carson" has died.

McMahon died at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center this morning. McMahon had been at the hospital's intensive care unit for several weeks, and has been ill for quite some time. For 30 years, he has been at Carson's side. Here are some of the high- and low- lights of his career:

McMahon hosted the show from its 1983 premiere until 1995.

Carson died in January 2005 at 79. And now heaven has one more sidekick.

McMahon was 86.

Breaking News: Edwards Quits Presidential Race

In New Orleans, Louisiana, John Edwards has announced that he is dropping out of the 2008 presidential race, which- as expected- leaves the two front-runners, New York senator Hillary Clinton and Illinois senator Barack Obama in what will be a bloodbath from this point on.

Edwards says that he has told both front runners that they have pledged that ending poverty and making equality priorities in the 2008 presidential campaign.

The other hopeful, New Hampshire senator Mike Gravel, is still in this fight. However, he's not getting much love from fellow Democrats.

BREAKING NEWS: Reverend Jerry Falwell Dead at 73

Reverend Jerry Falwell, the founder of the conservative religious group, Moral Majority, and whose stances on gays and abortion raised many an ire, has died.

Rod Godwin, the executive vice president of Liberty University- founded by Falwell in 1971- said that Falwell was found unconscious at his mansion on the Liberty campus, at around 10:45 AM ET (7:45 AM PT). He was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital, where he was declared dead at 12:40PM ET (9:40 AM PT).

Falwell was also the senior pastor of Lynchburg area megachurch Thomas Road Baptist Church.

Scooter Libby Found Guilty On Four of Five Counts in CIA Leak Case

I. Lewis 'Scooter' Libby, Vice President Cheney's former chief of staff, has been found guilty on four of the five counts in the ongoing CIA leak case where an agent's true identity was revealed.

He was convicted on obstruction; perjury; and lying to the FBI. He faces 25 years in prison.
