It seemed like yesterday when Bobby Jindal became Louisiana governor. He's young- 37- and appears to be the next generation of Republicans and conservatives. But now, it appears that some of our friends in the Bayou State want to have him recalled.
Jindal came under criticism for refusing to veto a bill doubling state legislators' base pay. Four other Republican legislators- Jim Tucker of Terrytown; Steve Pugh of Ponchatoula; Franklin Foil of Baton Rouge; and Joseph Lopinto of Metairie- also face recall. But 933,000 valid signatures are needed.
