Corey Haim 1971-2010

One of the stars of 1980s film and TV, Corey Haim, has died at 38. It's been widely reported that Haim had suffered from flu-like symptoms, and was rushed to Providence St. Joseph Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. There were reports stating that Haim may have accidentally overdosed on prescription medications, but until the LA County coroner's office confirms this, it's only speculation.

Haim came to fame in the film "The Lost Boys", where, alongside Corey Feldman, he fought off vampires (one played by Kiefer Sutherland), and "Lucas", where he played the title character. Haim suffered from chemical dependency issues over the years, and both his career, and his longtime friendship with frequent co-star Corey Feldman, were strained.

Haim was 38.

DJ AM Dead of Apparent Overdose

The DJ known as DJ AM was found dead tonight in his Manhattan apartment. AM, whose real name was Adam Goldberg, was known for deejaying at nightclubs around the world, and was briefly engaged to Nicole Ritchie.

AM was found this afternoon at his apartment, apparently surrounded by drug paraphernilia.
